The duo also met with the Greens and liberal Renew group in early February.<\/p>\n<p>Italian MEP Pietro Fiocchi of the right-wing ECR told POLITICO that he was \u201cvery explicit\u201d in his opposition to reopening REACH during his meeting with the commissioners.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/GettyImages-2149275085-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8128457\"  \/>Italian Member of the European Parliament Pietro Fiocchi is pictured in Milan on April 17, 2024. | Alessandro Bremec\/NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The same goes for the center-right EPP.
