Copenhagen Fashion Week<\/a> has firmly made a name for itself over the past two decades,\u00a0 pushing Nordic style to the forefront of the fashion conversation. While recognized for its relaxed, \u2018not so serious\u2019, comfort-first approach to dressing, what really sets it apart is its commitment to catalyzing change. The city\u2019s sustainability requirement for participating brands quite literally shook the fashion industry and sparked a broader conversation.<\/p>\n

Additionally, this needed framework has had a domino effect, prompting other fashion organizations, such as the British Fashion Council<\/a> and Amsterdam Fashion Week<\/a>, to adopt similar eligibility criteria.<\/p>\n

But aside from these elements, the talent emerging here is equally noteworthy. Let\u2019s take a closer look at some of the talents that caught our eye this season, further cementing the city\u2019s position as the fifth fashion capital.<\/p>\n

Henrik Vibskov<\/a> \"\" \"\" \"\" <\/p>\n

In a show titled Frog Cary Frog, the frog symbolizes transformation and independence, unfolding through an earthy, richly textured palette. Actress Linnea Berthelsen<\/a>, known for her role in the new season of Stranger Things<\/a>, opened the show, leading a visual dialogue on metamorphosis.<\/p>\n

This Stockholm-based brand showcased a collection anchored in the art of play. Drawing from the contradictory feelings of girlhood, the designs reference children\u2019s clothing and baby doll attire, featuring A-line silhouettes, adjustable waistbands, and buttons or ties that enable the fit to be customized to suit the wearer\u2019s body.<\/p>\n

Collars were the star of the show. The closing look, in particular, featured a pleated baroque collar with ruffles in a gorgeous deep sky-blue shade. Finished with raw edges, this detail, also seen in skirts, highlights the show\u2019s inspiration: the ongoing interplay of structure and softness.<\/p>\n

This Copenhagen-based brand takes old suits, cuts them up, and reassembles the pieces into new silhouettes\u2014the true definition of repurposed fashion. In this reimagined image, the suit is presented as a starting point\u2014a structure rich in history and authority that beautifully carries traces of its previous lives.<\/p>\n
