The Air Max 95 is one of the most iconic Nike sneakers of all time, beloved for its wavy design, and prominent air bubble cushioning system on its sole. Designed by Sergio Lozano and released in 1995, the OG \u201cNeon\u201d colourway has become a favourite amongst sneakerheads and streetwear enthusiasts, and inspired an entire generation of different colourways and styles.<\/p>\n

For Air Max Day 2026, LEGO and Nike debut the LEGO 43025 Nike Air Max 95<\/a>, which releases worldwide on 28 March 2026, a 1,213-piece display model of the Air Max 95 in its Neon colourway, celebrating this legendary sneaker. <\/p>\n

Nike recently re-released the Air Max 95 (with a slightly bigger bubble) in early March, and I was lucky enough to pick up a pair, so expect some comparisons with the real thing further down in this post. For younger fans, there\u2019s also a LEGO Nike Air Max 95<\/a> for Youth and PreSchool sizes. Still no adult LEGO Nike Sneakers unfortunately! <\/p>\n

It\u2019s the most detailed LEGO Nike Sneaker yet and with a very accessible US$150 \/ AU$150 \/ \u00a390 pricetag, it raises the bar on what we can expect from LEGO and Nike\u2019s long term partnership. <\/p>\n

Ahead of the LEGO Air Max 95\u2019s release on 28 March, here\u2019s a review of the set, and how it compares with the real shoe! <\/p>\n

Build Experience and Interesting Elements<\/p>\n

The build experience was pretty engaging, and it was quite fascinating seeing how the Nike Air Max\u2019s signature waves, stripes and silhouette was achieved. The build weas smooth, with a bit of repetition as each side is fairly similar, and I did have a bit of issue with the legibility of the instructions manual, especially where the Gunmetal and Dark Grey sections of the waves were very hard to tell apart in the manual.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at the sticker sheet. There\u2019s a decent number of printed elements, and these weren\u2019t too tricky to apply. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There\u2019s quite a number of new, and interesting recolours in the set. The Nike Air Bubble logo uses a ton of these opalescent elements which shimmer and look amazing when the light bounces off them.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This new plate 4\u00d74 plate with rounded corners and holes was new to me. I\u2019m going to name this the trypophobia plate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

These clear cloche-shaped elements were also very new to me, and are used for the smaller Air Bubbles on the sole. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The LEGO Nike Air Max 95 set comes with an exclusive minifigure, a sporty character decked out in Nike apparel. He has the hoodie and cap combo, with the swoosh on it, that comes in black for the first time, a tech-fleece inspired hoodie for the torso, and black joggers. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The minifigure is sensationally detailed, with dual-moulded arms, legs and my favourite feature, a pair of Nike Air Max 95 Neons printed on its feet!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019m really digging LEGO printing sneakers on their minifigures, and this one follows a long line of Nike sneakers featured on minifigures, such as the Nike Mags (from Marty McFly in the Icons Delorean<\/a>), as well as the Nike Dunks on Bball Head<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You get two options of heads for the minifigure, a male and a female which is a nice touch. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a comparison with the minifigure from the 43021 Nike Dunk Trickshot set<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Completed Model<\/p>\n

The LEGO Nike Air Max 95 follows a familiar template set by 43008 Nike Dunk<\/a>, the very first LEGO Nike set. The set is primarily a display model, and there\u2019s a stand to suspend the shoe in the air, a small section for the minifigure, and some stylistic branding on the side, this one here has the Nike Air Bubble logo to balance the composition. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The LEGO Nike Air Bubble logo is really well executed. The shimmery opalescent elements give it an otherworldly bulbous look, and I also love how it just look like its floating next to the shoe. <\/p>\n

The Nike Air Max 95 was one of the first sneakers to really emphasise Nike\u2019s air bubble technology as part of the midsole design, so the Air logo here feels very fitting. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The minifigure can be posed in a dynamic fashion thanks to the curved bar. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also an interactive play feature. You can pull out the base, which swings the shoe around letting you see the heel\/back of it with the big bubble. It works well enough, although the shoe does wobble quite violently when in motion!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at the LEGO Nike Air Max 95. The sneaker is a big step up from the previous Dunks, and really feels like LEGO Sneaker design has matured enough to capture the Air Max 95\u2019s distinctive look.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The signature waves are layered very nicely, and the Neon colourway is brought to life as close as using the nearest LEGO colours. The chunky sole and Air Bubbles also stand out and tie the look together. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There are several printed elements, such as the toe box corner curved slopes, as well as the iconic Air Max logo on the tongue, which is printed on an oval shield which is really nice to see. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the view from the top.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The back of the Air Max 95 is a little chunky thanks to the heel, and the Big Bubble on the base, which has its own thick window. The Big Bubble is a signature feature in the 2026 Neon Air Max 95 re-release, so I\u2019m guessing Nike were very prescriptive about capturing this design. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Most importantly, the Air Max 95\u2019s waves look superb, and I like the layered colours, and how seamless the gradient looks from all sides. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at the insoles, which have the LEGO and Nike logo. The singular LEGO and Nike logo as stickers are pretty nice. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Oh, and just like the Nike Dunk High, you can pull the tongue out to reveal a secret compartment where you can store small items\/valuables. <\/p>\n

Comparison with a real Nike Air Max 95 \u201cNeon\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always wanted to pick up a pair of Air Max 95s in Neon (I\u2019m an OG colourway type of sneakerhead), so I was delighted when Nike announced that they were re-releasing it in March. <\/p>\n

With interest and hype in sneakers cooling down significantly from the mid 2010s, it\u2019s no longer a struggle getting more highly sought-after sneakers, which I really enjoy. <\/p>\n

As you can see side by side, LEGO have done a really great job capturing the Air Max 95\u2019s contours, silhouette and colours, making this the most realistic looking LEGO Nike sneaker yet. <\/p>\n

And here\u2019s a look at all 3 LEGO Nike Sneaker sets where we have 43025 Nike Air Max 95<\/a> alongside 43021 Nike Dunk Trickshot set<\/a> and 43008 Nike Dunk<\/a>. <\/p>\n

With all 3 displayed together, I can finally see the LEGO and Nike vision where you have some of Nike\u2019s most popular sneakers made out of LEGO, perched on a display stand with an interesting brick-built decoration to round out the composition. <\/p>\n

As you can see with each LEGO Nike Sneaker iteration, the Air Max 95 is a huge step up in terms of complexity and details, showcasing just how much the designs of these LEGO sneakers can evolve in such a short time. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s especially impressive as 43025 Nike Air Max 95<\/a> is the same price as the 43008 Nike Dunk<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Final Thoughts<\/p>\n

As a sneakerhead, I think LEGO have done a terrific job with 43025 Nike Air Max 95<\/a>, and I can find very little that I dislike about the model. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s a lot of value packed into the set, from the exceptional minifigure, to the debut of lots of interesting new elements, plus a generous serving of opalescent pieces make this a very compelling purchase for US$100 \/ AU$150. Funny enough, this LEGO set is cheaper than buying an actual pair of Nike Air Max 95s\u2026. although you only get one shoe. <\/p>\n

The decision to hero one of Nike\u2019s most beloved silhouettes also drives this one home, especially if you\u2019re a fan of Nike Air Maxes, and have a special relationship with the Air Max 95 Neon. <\/p>\n

The design of the sneaker itself is really compelling and you can immediately tell what it is thanks to the very accurate rendering of its proportions, colours and key design features like the wave design and air bubbles. <\/p>\n

That said, unless you\u2019re a sneakerhead or Nike fan, this set will have limited appeal, however, with fashion trends from the 90s making a roaring comeback, I do think that younger fans (for example, teens) will appreciate this retro sneaker throwback that you can build out of LEGO bricks. <\/p>\n

\n Builds on the existing base of LEGO Nike sneaker sets and takes real world object mimicry to the next level <\/p>\n

\n The composition, footprint and legendary status of the Air Max 95 Neon makes this one a very compelling display model <\/p>\n
