The stock prices of rocket makers Firefly Aerospace and Rocket Lab rose by more than 10%, while other space-related firms also saw their shares jump. SpaceX is expected to go public this year with a valuation of around $1.75tn (\u00a31.31tn). The technology news outlet The Information reported that the firm could file for the initial public (IPO) within days. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/c5y8d721q18o\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">BBC\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Brussels has opened an investigation into\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/snapchat\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Snapchat<\/a> over concerns that the social messaging app is exposing children to grooming, sexual exploitation and other criminality. In a separate decision on Thursday, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/european-commission\" data-link-name=\"in body link\" data-component=\"auto-linked-tag\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">European Commission<\/a> also said four pornographic websites were failing to prevent minors seeing adult content. Importantly, it brings in the changes that will allow CarPlay to use third-party voice assistants and adds a new widget to the offering. A jury in Los Angels found Instagram, which is owned by Meta, and YouTube, which is owned by Google, were responsible for harm caused to the 20-year-old \u2013 awarding her $6m in damages. <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/social-media-giants-found-liable-for-social-media-addiction-in-landmark-court-case-13521834\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sky News\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The co-owner of Virgin Media O2 (VMO2) has threatened to stop building broadband in the UK if the telecoms giant\u2019s \u00a32bn takeover of Netomnia is blocked. Mike Fries, the chief executive of Liberty Global, which owns\u00a0<a class=\"ck-custom-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/business\/2026\/03\/08\/virgin-media-boss-regret-hitting-customers-surprise-rises\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">VMO2<\/a> alongside Telef\u00f3nica, warned he could pull the plug on investment if regulators give in to criticism by blocking the deal to buy their rival. The tech giant said on Wednesday that Apple account holders will be required to verify their age by uploading a form of ID to access \u201ccertain services or features\u201d.
