{"id":49952,"date":"2026-03-27T12:51:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T12:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/49952\/"},"modified":"2026-03-27T12:51:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T12:51:08","slug":"the-lego-group-backs-next-phase-of-ritec-initiative-focused-on-digital-play","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/49952\/","title":{"rendered":"The LEGO Group Backs Next Phase of RITEC Initiative Focused on Digital Play"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lego.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">The LEGO Group<\/a> is supporting the next phase of an industry initiative to improve children\u2019s experiences in digital play.<\/p>\n<p>UNICEF is leading the three-year expansion of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/designing-digital-play-childrens-well-being-mind\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Responsible Innovation in Technology for Children (RITEC) program<\/a>, with $4.9 million in funding from The LEGO Foundation. The initiative focuses on embedding child-centered design principles into digital game development across the <a href=\"https:\/\/toybook.com\/category\/news\/entertainment\/video-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">global gaming<\/a> industry.<\/p>\n<p>The new phase builds on earlier research and tools, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/childrightsandbusiness\/workstreams\/responsible-technology\/online-gaming\/ritec-design-toolbox\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">RITEC-8 framework and the Design Toolbox<\/a>, and shifts toward broader adoption and real-world implementation.
