The New York Times<\/a> on Wednesday reported that the U.S. is negotiating with Denmark to access three additional military bases on Greenland, signaling that the Trump administration’s interest in the Arctic island remains strong. This would mark the U.S.’s first military expansion in Greenland in decades, the Times noted.<\/p>\n “I\u2019m working with our department and others to try to develop more ports, more airfields, which leads to more options for our secretary and for the president, should we need them up in the Arctic,”\u00a0Gen.
