The plot contains impressive political elements that aren’t found in other works from antiquity. Whereas most of ancient myths and chronicles heap praise on the conquests of immensely powerful kings and empires, the exodus from Egypt is a story centering on a group of dispossessed slaves. It’s the tale of an oppressed, subjugated people that stands tall and liberates itself from bondage. As such, some see the victory over Pharaoh as the first revolution in history and an inspiration for all subsequent revolutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"In the eyes of many, the story of the exodus from Egypt is one of the greatest liberation…\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":53310,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[101],"tags":[199,200,29494,29495],"class_list":{"0":"post-53309","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-amsterdam","8":"tag-amsterdam","9":"tag-netherlands","10":"tag-passover","11":"tag-zionism"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@dk\/116329867170740407","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/53309","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=53309"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/53309\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/53310"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=53309"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=53309"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=53309"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
