Danish energy giant \u00d8rsted has taken a decisive step forward in constructing the world’s largest offshore wind farm. The company announced the successful installation of the first converter station for the Hornsea 3 project off the UK coast this Thursday. This significant logistical achievement signals the commencement of a major new construction phase and reinforces the firm’s ongoing operational stabilization.<\/p>\n

Financial Health Ahead of Shareholder Meeting<\/p>\n

These tangible project advancements coincide with a notable financial recovery for the group. \u00d8rsted has substantially reduced its net debt, which now stands at 3.99 billion Danish kroner, following a series of strategic divestments and a portfolio streamlining effort. Within days, specialized vessels will mobilize to begin anchoring turbine foundations into the seabed. The installation of the initial XXL monopiles is set to start on April 12. These massive components recently arrived in the UK from manufacturing facilities in Spain. The Hornsea 3 project requires the precise placement of 197 such foundations to support its planned network of wind turbines.<\/p>\n
