Ferry firm DFDS has said it is preparing to restart its Jersey to St Malo sailings from Tuesday after one of its ferries was damaged.<\/p>\n
The company’s Tarifa Jet suffered damage to its stern<\/a> in a berthing incident on Sunday.<\/p>\n DFDS said its Levante Jet ferry was due to be back in St Malo in time for the 07:30 BST departure to Jersey on Tuesday, with the return sailing set for 09:40 BST.<\/p>\n The ferry had been in dry dock in Dunkirk for planned work, but engineers had sped up the job so the vessel could return to service earlier than expected.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n DFDS has brought in another vessel to cover some of the Easter demand, but the incident has caused schedule changes at a time when many people are expecting to travel.<\/p>\n The company said enquiries about sailings had increased with people trying to find out whether their plans could still go ahead.<\/p>\n A spokesperson said the company was trying to minimise stress for travellers during the holiday period and booking systems had been updated to reflect the revised Easter sailing schedule.<\/p>\n Follow BBC Jersey on X<\/a> and Facebook<\/a>.
