On April 7, Regnier made the statement while responding to a question about Russia\u2019s threats against the Baltic states over their provision of airspace to Ukraine for strikes on Russian territory.<\/p>\n
“An attack on one of our member states is an attack on the EU as a whole,” the European Commission spokesperson emphasized.<\/p>\n
At the same time, he noted that the European Commission had “seen media reports” about such threats from Russia.<\/p>\n
In addition, Regnier recalled four flagship initiatives aimed at protecting EU member states from external interference. Among them, he mentioned the drone defense initiative and the Air Shield, which are currently priorities for the European Union.<\/p>\n
