{"id":57614,"date":"2026-04-08T17:05:32","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T17:05:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/57614\/"},"modified":"2026-04-08T17:05:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T17:05:32","slug":"lego-unveils-innovative-smart-play-technology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/57614\/","title":{"rendered":"Lego unveils innovative Smart Play technology"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lego Group has unveiled its new innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lego.com\/en-us\/smart-play\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Smart Play<\/a> technology, which brings its building sets to life with sound, light and more.<\/p>\n<p>Lego Smart Play is an interactive platform comprising the Lego Smart Brick, Lego Smart Tags, and Lego Smart Minifigures. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As the world evolves, so do we \u2014 innovating to meet the play needs of each new generation,&#8221; said Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer of the Lego Group.<\/p>\n<p>Showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, the Smart Play platform features more than 20 patented world-firsts with its <a href=\"https:\/\/blooloop.com\/technology\/in-depth\/technology-trends-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A key element of the platform is the Lego Smart Brick, powered by a custom-made chip measuring smaller than a standard Lego stud.<\/p>\n<p>The Smart Bricks are packed with technologies that bring play to life, such as sensors, accelerometers, a miniature speaker driven by an onboard synthesiser, and easy wireless charging.<\/p>\n<p class=\"shortcode-media shortcode-media-rebelmouse-image\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"374f4\" data-rm-shortcode-id=\"88cd59c392c6c4c5db3f2493eb0a9904\" data-rm-shortcode-name=\"rebelmouse-image\" class=\"rm-shortcode rm-lazyloadable-image \" lazy-loadable=\"true\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns='http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg' viewBox='0 0 1620 1080'%3E%3C\/svg%3E\" data-runner-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/lego-smart-play-star-wars.jpg\" width=\"1620\" height=\"1080\" alt=\"lego smart play star wars\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Lego Smart Tags and Lego Smart Minifigures can be paired with the Smart Bricks to power the system, with builders&#8217; creations responding to actions with sound, light and behaviours.<\/p>\n<p>The advanced, invisible technology was developed by the Lego Group\u2019s Creative Play Lab team.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Donaldson, SVP and head of Creative Play Lab at the Lego Group, said the new concept &#8220;brings creativity, technology, and <a href=\"https:\/\/blooloop.com\/immersive\/opinion\/immersive-storytelling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">storytelling<\/a> together to make building worlds and stories even more engaging, and all without a screen&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>He added, &#8220;We truly believe we are setting a new standard for interactive, imaginative experiences and can\u2019t wait to see this innovation in the hands of kids when we launch this year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lego Smart Play is launching with three Star Wars building sets, available from 1 March in select markets <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lego.com\/en-us\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">online<\/a> and in Lego stores.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our teams work hand-in-hand with best-in-class licensees to bring technology and <a href=\"https:\/\/blooloop.com\/2025-blooloop-innovation-award-preview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">innovation<\/a> to products that continue our storytelling in new and unexpected ways,&#8221;
