<\/p>\n\t\tJohannes Liebmann Through 14:40 Barrier as He Outduels Magdeburg Training Mate Oliver Klemet in Stockholm<\/p>\n
Johannes Liebmann emerged victorious from a 1500 freestyle duel with Magdeburg training mate Oliver Klemet at the Swim Open in Stockholm as he cracked 14:40 with a 13-second PB.<\/p>\n
Florian Wellbrock made it a clean sweep for Bernd Berkhahn\u2019s training stable in third.<\/p>\n
The trio \u2013 swimming alongside each other in lanes three, four and five \u2013 went out pretty much together with Klemet making a move by the 200m mark.<\/p>\n

Klemet \u2013 winner of the 400 free on Thursday \u2013 and Liebmann pulled away from Wellbrock with the former leading the way and the 19-year-old on his toes. Liebmann ate into the deficit and went ahead by just 0.01 at the 1000m mark only for Klemet to immediately respond. However, he couldn\u2019t shake Liebmann off and the teenager hit the front once more at 1200.<\/p>\n
A 0.02 advantage became 0.20 by 1250m and he extended his lead thereafter to post a PB of 14:39.67 ahead of Klemet who clocked 14:41.71 with the pair elevating themselves to the top two slots in the rankings. Wellbrock was third in 15:15.79.<\/p>\n
It was a PB by 13.48secs for Liebmann whose previous best stood at 14:53.15 en-route to silver behind Kuzey Tuncelli at the 2025 European Junior Championships. It elevated him to fourth in the German all-time rankings behind Wellbrock (14:34.89), Sven Schwarz (14:35.69) and Klemet (14:39.03).<\/p>\n

Caspar Corbeau completed the breaststroke double with the sole sub-minute swim of the field in the 100m.<\/p>\n
Corbeau was the only man out in under 28secs and he came home in 59.65 to add the two-length title to the 200 after victory in the longer race on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Poland\u2019s Dawid Wiekiera took second in 1:00.33 with Arno Kamminga, the Tokyo 2020 silver medallist, posting the fastest second 50 of 31.75 en-route to bronze in 1:00.58.<\/p>\n
Dare Rose made up an 0.67 deficit at halfway to win the 100 fly in 51.19 ahead of Jakub Majerski (52.13) and Luca Nik Armbruster (52.14).<\/p>\n
Brooks Curry won the 200 free in 1:46.03 ahead of Lucas Henveaux who was 0.11 off his Belgian record in 1:46.14 a day after he matched his national standard with third in the 400 free. Robin Hanson made the third step of the podium in 1:46.51.<\/p>\n
Louise Hansson opened her meet on Thursday where she shared 50 fly gold with fellow Swede Sara Junevik.\u00a0On Friday, she enjoyed a clear win over 100m as the only woman to break 58secs in 57.50. Helena Rosendahl Bach won silver in 58.12 with Tamara Potock\u00e1 third in 58.53.<\/p>\n
Siobhan Haughey added the 50 breast to her 200 free title in 30.46
\nLinda Roth won the women\u2019s 400IM in 4:47.03
\nAdela Piskorska edged the 100 back over Lise Seidel in 1:01.00 to 1:01.01
