There’s nothing cuter in the entire world than baby pets. Sure, human infants are cool and all, but there’s something innocent and magical about a little fur companion learning to navigate everything around them.<\/p>\n
As it turns out, even older pets\u2014like a Brussels Griffon<\/a> named Dottie\u2014are fascinated with the tiny newbies, like a 66-day-old Tortoise hatchling named Nova. Together, these two are your new favorite “it” couple!<\/p>\n “Finally, a family member smaller than Dot,” the sweet video is captioned in part, and I’m sure that’s why Dottie is so enamored! There aren’t many others smaller than her!<\/p>\n Nova is one of four little ones whose parents are hibernating, but she’s in good paws with her doggy siblings. Whether it’s her funny reactions, cute outfits, or being an adorable internet star, the 6-year-old pup is always in charge.<\/p>\n But the day she first met an 11-day Tortoise<\/a> hatchling, her whole life changed. Dottie’s initial response to the intro was to immediately give kisses, and that’s 100% Dottie. She’s like a Sour Patch Kid: sour one minute, but so sweet the next! I think the newcomers will soon understand how awesome their pup sister<\/a> truly is!<\/p>\n Do Dogs and Turtles Usually Get Along?<\/p>\n As adorable as Dottie is with the baby, experts say dogs and Tortoises<\/a> aren’t usually the best match for a few reasons, but mostly because it can end with injuries. While bigger pups might think the Tortoise is a toy to chew or destroy (like a moving rock!), smaller dogs could be injured by the Tortoise should they choose to bite.<\/p>\n Of course, it always depends on your dog’s temperament around other pets. Dottie is the poster girl for how a pooch should interact with smaller pets, and she deserves major props.
