{"id":61333,"date":"2026-04-15T07:55:23","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T07:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/61333\/"},"modified":"2026-04-15T07:55:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T07:55:23","slug":"danske-bank-reports-118m-pre-tax-profit-for-first-half-of-2025-the-irish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/61333\/","title":{"rendered":"Danske Bank reports \u00a3118m pre-tax profit for first half of 2025 \u2013 The Irish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Danske Bank has reported a significant increase in its pre-tax profit for the first six months of 2025, reaching \u00a3118.4 million. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">It marked a 15% uplift on the profit-before-tax the Belfast-based lender reported for the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">It followed higher revenues for the bank in the first half (H1) 2025, rising 10% to \u00a3206.9m, with expenses rising 2.7% to \u00a387.3m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Danske Bank said lending to customers increased 7% year-on-year during H1 2025 to \u00a36.6 billion, while customer deposits increased by 9% to \u00a311.8bn.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/news\/business\/live-autumn-budget-2024-S2YSBNNOQZBJLFMAAHVSHUBUUA\/\" aria-hidden=\"true\" tabindex=\"-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Live: Autumn Budget 2024\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/OGWGZFKFDFGD5JWH7BB3IMK7FM.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/><\/a><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/news\/business\/liquidators-appointed-to-hospitality-group-behind-well-known-north-down-pubs-B7GXL4HOIZAFVOSET7B7A37Y4U\/\" aria-hidden=\"true\" tabindex=\"-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Liquidators appointed to hospitality group behind well-known north Down pubs\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/NNV3INGCQNC3NNYSY7FXIYGSOI.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The bank\u2019s Belfast-based chief executive Vicky Davies said mortgage lending approvals also increased by around 12% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe expect a healthy level of mortgage lending to continue locally throughout 2025 &#8211;
