Critical Metals\u2019 stock was up 41.61% for the week, the most since January, after it said that the Greenland government had approved the transfer of remaining stake in the Tanbreez mining project to the company. <\/p>\n

Tanbreez is considered to be among the largest rare earth hard rock deposits in the world.\u00a0Clear Street analyst Tim Moore said that Tanbreez would help Critical Metals achieve nearly $200 billion in EBITDA after the first phase of drilling at the site is at 100% capacity.\u00a0Clear Street has a Buy rating on CRML stock and a price target of $20, indicating an upside potential of nearly 60% from the last close.<\/p>\n

Critical Metals Corp. (CRML) ended Friday 35.5% higher after an approval from Greenland\u2019s government solidified its position as the controlling stakeholder in one of the world’s largest rare earth deposits.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s stock was up 41.61% for the week, the most since January. The stock garnered significant attention from Wall Street analysts as well as retail investors amid the encouraging announcement.<\/p>\n

The Tanbreez Buzz<\/p>\n

On Friday, Critical Metals confirmed that the Greenland government had approved the transfer of remaining 50.5% stake in the Tanbreez mining project to the company, bringing its total ownership to 92.5%. European Lithium will retain the remaining 7.5% stake.<\/p>\n

Tanbreez is considered to be among the largest rare earth hard rock deposits in the world. These are key elements used in defence, clean energy, and advanced technology applications. Additionally, the location of the deposits make it possible for year-round direct shipping access, offering a significant logistical advantage.<\/p>\n

The project covers a 4.7-billion-tonne mineralized rock unit, with an initial 45-million-tonne resource focused on early production. It is also considered a long-term solution for rare earth demand for the next 100 years.<\/p>\n

Greenland\u2019s rich mineral deposits are a big reason why the U.S. President Donald Trump had previously proposed purchasing Greenland, an autonomous territory within Denmark.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are now progressing with momentum, supported by advancing technical programs, strong metallurgical results, and engagement with our offtake partners. Tanbreez is no longer a future project \u2014 it is a project in development,\u201d said Tony Sage, chairman of the company.<\/p>\n

How It Will Impact The Company<\/p>\n

Clear Street analyst Tim Moore reportedly said that Tanbreez would help Critical Metals achieve nearly $200 billion in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization after the first phase of drilling at the site is at 100% capacity.<\/p>\n

This figure could rise to $1.1 billion in 2033 if the second phase reaches full capacity, the firm said, according to a report<\/a> from Barron\u2019s. Currently, the company has set target timelines for first ore production in late 2028 to early 2029, with concentrate export targeted for the third quarter of 2029.<\/p>\n

While the change of control took longer than expected, Moore said that the move marked a crucial step for the company to get final approval from the Greenland government to begin drilling.<\/p>\n

Clear Street has a \u2018Buy\u2019 rating on CRML stock and a price target of $20, indicating an upside potential of nearly 60% from the last close. Meanwhile, Texas Capital also initiated coverage of Critical Metals with a \u2018Buy\u2019 rating and $20 price target earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Last month, Freedom Capital initiated coverage of Critical Metals with a \u2018Buy\u2019 rating and $15 price target, noting that the Tanbreez project and the Wolfsberg lithium project were strategically important, making the company a vital rare earth element player for the Western world.<\/p>\n

Retail Reaction<\/p>\n

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around CRML stock was in the \u2018extremely bullish\u2019 territory at the time of writing, amid \u2018extremely high\u2019 message volumes.<\/p>\n

CRML stock<\/a> has rallied more than 400% in the past year.<\/p>\n
