Peacock is not moving forward with a second season of The Copenhagen Test. The streamer has canceled the espionage thriller starring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera after one season, a source close to the situation confirmed to Deadline.<\/p>\n
From creator Thomas Brandon and executive producer James Wan,\u00a0The Copenhagen Test\u00a0followed first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Liu), who realizes his brain had been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he\u2019s forced to maintain a performance 24\/7 to flush out who\u2019s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.<\/p>\n

Barrera played Michelle, a deceptive character who will keep everyone guessing. Cast also included Sinclair Daniel as Parker, an intelligence officer who gets swept up into a new world she must figure out quickly; Brian D\u2019Arcy James as John Moira, a boss and mentor who is not afraid to make tough decisions; Mark O\u2019Brien as Cobb, an ambitious intelligence agent; and Kathleen Chalfant as St. George, a quiet leader focused on the long game.<\/p>\n
Brandon created and wroteThe Copenhagen Test\u00a0and served as executive producer alongside co-showrunner and EP Jennifer Yale. Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett served as executive producers for Atomic Monster, with Liu also EP\u2019ing. Mark Winemaker and Jet Wilkinson will also executive produced, with Wilkinson attached to direct the first two episodes. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.<\/p>\n
