A new exhibition titled “Gen Z All at Once” has opened at the MO Museum in Vilnius, showcasing the works of 20 artists born between 1993 and 2001 from 11 Central and Eastern European countries. Running from 18 April to 30 August 2026, the exhibition delves into the complexities faced by Generation Z, who are growing up amidst geopolitical conflicts, climate anxiety, and economic uncertainty.<\/p>\n
Curated by Michal Novotn\u00fd of the National Gallery Prague and Marius Armonas of MO Museum, the exhibition aims to explore the unique experiences of this generation, who have spent much of their adolescence on social media. Novotn\u00fd noted, “Over time it became clear to me that this was the first generation to spend most of their adolescence on social media. I could see how profoundly this shaped their self-perception.”<\/p>\n
The exhibition features diverse artistic approaches, with works by artists such as Tornike Gognadze from Georgia, whose film explores themes of memory and shame, and Dominika Kov\u00e1\u010dikov\u00e1 from Slovakia, whose paintings challenge traditional notions of femininity. Other notable artists include Mara Verhoogt from Romania, Madlen Hirtentreu from Estonia, and Morta Jonynait\u0117 from Lithuania.<\/p>\n
MO Museum Director Milda Ivanauskien\u0117 emphasised the exhibition’s goal to bridge generational divides and foster dialogue. “For MO Museum, this reflects a desire to open new dialogues\u2014to move beyond dominant Western art narratives and explore artistic processes along less familiar paths,” she said.<\/p>\n
“Gen Z All at Once” is part of MO Museum’s ongoing commitment to engaging with contemporary art and fostering international dialogue. The exhibition runs until 30 August 2026<\/p>\n
