{"id":64315,"date":"2026-04-20T02:53:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T02:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/64315\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T02:53:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T02:53:10","slug":"greenland-greenlights-tanbreez-transfer-to-critical-metals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/64315\/","title":{"rendered":"Greenland greenlights Tanbreez transfer to Critical Metals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IN LONDON: The Greenland Government has approved the transfer of the remaining 50.5% interest in the Tanbreez Mining Project to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.criticalmetalscorp.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Critical Metals Corp<\/a> (NASDAQ:CRML).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Critical Metals now owns 92.5%, solidifying its position as the controlling stakeholder in one of the world\u2019s largest rare earths deposits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The remaining 7.5% interest is retained by <a href=\"https:\/\/europeanlithium.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">European Lithium<\/a> (ASX:EUR).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Tony Sage says this is \u201cgame-changing\u201d for the company and for western rare earth supply security.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecuring 92.5% ownership of Tanbreez \u2013 with the full support and approval of the Greenlandic Government \u2013 removes the most significant structural overhang on the project and provides the clarity to advance Tanbreez to production with confidence,\u201d Sage says.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are now progressing with momentum, supported by advancing technical programs, strong metallurgical results, and engagement with our offtake partners. Tanbreez is no longer a future project \u2013 it is a project in development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/mining.com.au\/european-lithium-takes-full-control-in-tanbreez\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">October 2025<\/a>, Critical Metals amended the agreement to acquire full controlling interest in Tanbreez. The company had the right to increase its ownership from 42% to 92.5%, upon issuing 14.5 million shares to privately held Rimbal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Tanbreez Project is an advanced, permitted asset that will supply a diverse portfolio of high-demand rare earths once operational.
