Europe’s angels meet in Vilnius. The Baltic hub hosts its first EBAN Congress, spotlighting deep-tech investment.<\/p>\n

The European Business Angels Network community will gather in Vilnius\u00a01\u20132 June, 2026,\u00a0as the\u00a0EBAN Congress<\/a>\u00a0is hosted in Lithuania for the first time.\u00a0The 26th edition of the congress\u00a0will bring together business angels, start-up founders, corporates, policymakers, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders from across Europe.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s\u00a0programme\u00a0will focus on strategic industries and technological autonomy and resilience, with emphasis on Space and\u00a0Defence\u00a0Tech,\u00a0BioTech and\u00a0CleanTech. The agenda reflects a growing\u00a0investor\u00a0focus on technologies tied to long-term resilience and competitiveness.<\/p>\n Each year, the EBAN Congress convenes in European innovation hubs,\u00a0serving\u00a0as a meeting point for early-stage investors and founders to connect capital with companies at\u00a0the\u00a0earliest stages of development.<\/p>\n The\u00a0selection\u00a0of Vilnius highlights the city\u2019s\u00a0emergence\u00a0as\u00a0Europe\u2019s\u00a0fastest-scaling startup\u00a0hub<\/a>, particularly in early-stage and regulated digital\u00a0sectors.<\/p>\n Lithuania is home to more than 1,100 start-ups, with activity heavily concentrated in the capital.\u00a0The country\u00a0has\u00a0produced five unicorns \u2013\u00a0a standout achievement on a per capita basis in a country of just\u00a02.8m people.<\/p>\n Vilnius has approximately 300 fintech companies and more than 130 licensed electronic money and payment institutions\u00a0operating\u00a0in the country.<\/p>\n The ecosystem is supported by a coordinated framework of public and private actors, including the Bank of Lithuania, Startup Lithuania, Innovation Agency,\u00a0Unicorns Lithuania, LT VCA,\u00a0Lithuanian Business Angels Network\u00a0LitBAN, and Go Vilnius, alongside an active base of\u00a0Venture Capital funds, accelerators,\u00a0business angels and reinvested founder capital from Baltic tech companies.<\/p>\n
