Once delivered, Denmark will become the third operator after France and Italy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thales\u2019 Executive VP of Land and Air Systems, Herv\u00e9 Dammann, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thalesgroup.com\/en\/news-centre\/press-releases\/denmark-has-selected-european-samp\/t-ng-most-advanced-mobile-ground-air\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">described<\/a> the system as \u201cdesigned to ensure the protection of Danish airspace and to make a decisive contribution to the defence of European nations and NATO.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>SAMP\/T NG\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>SAMP\/T NG is a mobile ground-based system that intercepts threats like drones, jets, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles using Aster missiles that feature hit-to-kill technology.<\/p>\n<p>Organisation Conjointe de Coop\u00e9ration en mati\u00e8re d\u2019Armement (OCCAR) oversees the SAMP\/T NG program.
