Tottenham<\/a> are seeking to replicate the success they have enjoyed with the signing of Lucas Bergvall<\/a> by sending scouts to watch another highly rated young player in Sweden.<\/p>\n Article continues under the video <\/p>\n Winger Zadok Yohanna has been touted as the \u2018future of Nigerian football\u2019<\/a> and Spurs were on hand to watch the 18-year-old AIK winger in a 2-1 defeat against Degerfors in the fourth round of Allsvenskan matches on Thursday, Expressen<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n The teenager has been branded as an \u201cexceptional\u201d talent, and while he was unable to steer the game in his side\u2019s favour, it was a broadly promising performance.<\/p>\n Yohanna: I didn\u2019t know scouts were watching<\/p>\n Yohanna says that he was unaware that there were Premier League scouts in the crowd. At least two are reported to have watched him, with Roberto De Zerbi\u2019s side one of the clubs monitoring him.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t know there were scouts here,\u201d he said after the game. \u201cI\u2019m just focusing on myself.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course I have dreams. But for now I\u2019m 100% focussed on AIK.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018He has everything\u2019<\/p>\n Yohanna wears the No.36 jersey that Alexander Isak once wore with AIK. The Nigerian is a very different player, but those in Sweden are convinced that he will go on to have a career at the top level of the game.<\/p>\n \u201cYohanna is an exceptional player. I love watching him play. He plays like he plays on the street,\u201d Degerfors coach Henok Goitom told the Swedish outlet, revealing that he told his defenders to double up on the teen.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is exceptional because he is a winger and you don’t think he would be good in the air, but he is good with his head. He is good with his shooting. And the more experience he gets, the more dangerous he will become. Because he has everything.<\/p>\n \u201cHe also has a cockiness: ‘Just give me the ball, and I will run’.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that, if he keeps learning, that he can go to the top five leagues in Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n Spurs\u2019 Bergvall success could encourage Yohanna bid<\/p>\n Spurs do have a recent history of raiding Sweden\u2019s top-flight, having signing Lucas Bergvall from Djurgarden in February 2024 in a deal initially worth \u20ac10 million mark but with the potential to roughly double this fee.<\/p>\n Bergvall has been a roaring success with Tottenham, leading to rumours that Arsenal and Chelsea could make a move for him in the summer should Spurs go down.
