Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nst.com.my\/business\/corporate\/2026\/04\/1427565\/sumisaujana-denmarks-topsoe-explore-production-sulfuric-acid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Strait Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Malaysia\u2019s SumiSaujana Group has entered a collaboration with Danish firm Topsoe to explore production of sulfuric acid from industrial gas streams.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership will assess potential projects in Malaysia and Indonesia, focusing on refineries and gas processing facilities. The aim is to convert sulfur-containing emissions into commercially usable sulfuric acid using specialised technology.<\/p>\n<p>Under the plan, SumiSaujana will lead project development, including feasibility studies, construction and operations. Topsoe will contribute technical expertise and is expected to supply its wet gas sulfuric acid technology.<\/p>\n<p>The companies said the initiative could improve resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact by turning waste streams into valuable products.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration is currently at an early stage and depends on feasibility study results, but both parties see potential for long-term projects in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Executives from Malaysia\u2019s SumiSaujana Group and Danish Topsoe.
