{"id":7182,"date":"2026-02-10T00:01:07","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T00:01:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/7182\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T00:01:07","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T00:01:07","slug":"berlin-students-already-follow-strict-cellphone-rules-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/7182\/","title":{"rendered":"Berlin students already follow strict cellphone rules | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BERLIN \u2014 While the statewide group Phone-Free CT is asking lawmakers to adopt a bell-to-bell cellphone ban in public schools, Berlin schools already have their own rules that closely match what the group is seeking.<\/p>\n<p>According to district policies, the Berlin Middle High School students in grades 6-12 are not allowed to have cellphones, headphones or other electronic devices during the school day unless a teacher gives permission for class use. The policy requires students to store their devices in lockers from 7:20 a.m. to 2:07 p.m. and not carry them at any time during school hours.<\/p>\n<p>Students who break the rule face consequences that increase with each offense, including device confiscation, parent contact and possible suspension\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The elementary schools follow a similar approach. Students are not allowed to use or access personal electronic devices during the school day.
