DENMARK, S.C. (WIS) – Nearly 200 graduates received degrees from Denmark Technical College on Saturday as the school celebrated its class of 2026.<\/p>\n
Denmark Tech is the only publicly funded two-year HBCU in South Carolina. <\/p>\n
The college focuses on hands-on training in fields such as culinary arts, cybersecurity, and business administration, equipping students with the skills to enter careers across South Carolina and beyond.<\/p>\n
Actor Woody McClain, a Charleston native, delivered the commencement address. McClain rose to national prominence with his role as Bobby Brown in BET\u2019s New Edition and Bobby Brown biopics. <\/p>\n
He also appeared in the series Power on the Starz network.<\/p>\n
McClain encouraged graduates to bet on themselves and their dreams.<\/p>\n
