Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa\u2019ar met with Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grli\u0107 Radman in Berlin on Wednesday, where the two discussed bilateral and multilateral issues as well as their shared Judeo-Christian heritage.<\/p>\n
In a post on X, Sa\u2019ar said he reiterated Israel\u2019s support for Croatia\u2019s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), of which Israel is the only Middle Eastern member, and invited Grli\u0107 Radman to visit Israel.<\/p>\n

The country became an OECD accession candidate in 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cThere are 1,700 Jews in Croatia\u2019s small but highly active Jewish community,\u201d per the World Jewish Congress<\/a>. \u201cFighting antisemitism and other harmful ideologies has proven difficult in the nation, especially in light of the historical revisionist efforts to absolve the fascist Usta\u0161e Movement of its responsibility for the mass murder of Jews and Serbs during World War II.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDespite this, Croatian Jews are supported by the government and have full and equal rights,\u201d per the WJC.<\/p>\n
We discussed bilateral and multilateral topics as well as our shared Judeo-Christian heritage.
I reiterated our support for Croatia\u2019s accession to the OECD.
