{"id":7894,"date":"2026-02-10T11:38:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T11:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/7894\/"},"modified":"2026-02-10T11:38:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T11:38:08","slug":"danske-bank-staff-vote-to-accept-5-2-pay-rise-the-irish-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/7894\/","title":{"rendered":"Danske Bank staff vote to accept 5.2% pay rise \u2013 The Irish News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The Financial Services Union (FSU) and Belfast-headquartered Danske Bank have agreed a pay increase of 5.2% for staff from this April.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The deal was accepted following a ballot of FSU members working in Danske.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The agreement includes an overall pay pot of 5.2%, while all eligible grade 2 to grade 8 employees will receive a performance pay matrix percentage increase of between 4% and 7%, or a \u00a31,500 pay increase, whichever is greater.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">All salary pay ranges will move by 3%, and the new minimum starting salary has been increased from \u00a323,500 to \u00a325,000.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/news\/business\/dozens-of-jobs-set-to-go-in-us-law-firms-belfast-office-364AGIWVJZG3XML45DJEQ7RA7U\/\" aria-hidden=\"true\" tabindex=\"-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Dozens of jobs set to go in US law firm&#x2019;s Belfast office\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/7DO4LZ7A5VMRXJG5OQLYLHDCIM.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/><\/a><a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.irishnews.com\/news\/business\/translink-defend-absence-of-newspapers-for-sale-in-new-340m-grand-central-station-OKMUNQLA35EZ3MLQPVGZYT5I7Y\/\" aria-hidden=\"true\" tabindex=\"-1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"Translink defends absence of newspapers for sale in new &#xA3;340m Grand Central Station\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/YYEEG7BW2NDUXH3LZS3F4DFUTE.jpeg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Mandy LaCombre, senior industrial relations officer with the FSU said: \u201cThis is a positive outcome for our members in Danske Bank. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cThe agreed pay increase is above the sector average and takes account of economic and labour market data, and the bank\u2019s performance and profitability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cIt was important to the FSU that the pay increase recognised the professional work done by our members.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">She added: \u201cThe talks were constructive in nature and the FSU negotiating team felt the bank listened to the member feedback from our recent \u2018Your Say for Better Pay\u2019 member survey. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cA pay increase of 5.2% is welcome reward for the professionalism and dedication of the staff in Danske Bank who deserve to share in the value they create.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Danske Bank, which employs 1,400 staff and currently has 24 bank branches across the north, posted a 12% increase in pre-tax profit of \u00a3250.4 million for 2025 &#8211;
