The airline explained that its performance was influenced by &#8220;geopolitical developments in March,&#8221; which contributed to higher fuel prices.<\/p>\n<p>Fuel expenditure per available seat-kilometer increased by roughly 14% compared with the previous year. The airline noted that part of this rise was offset through hedging measures implemented within the Lufthansa Group. It further stated that &#8220;The Lufthansa Group fuel hedging strategy partially mitigated the impact, making it less severe than for other carriers,&#8221; helping to cushion the overall effect on costs.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward, the airline indicated it would refrain from providing forecasts for the summer season due to continued uncertainty in the market.
