supporting innovation in the military sector, following the signing of a letter of intent in Kyiv.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ukraine\u2019s Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius signed the document launching the Brave Germany program, an initiative focused on developing defence technologies and supporting innovative startups, <a style=\"color: rgb(53, 152, 219);\" href=\"https:\/\/caliber.az\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Caliber.Az<\/a> reports, <a style=\"color: rgb(53, 152, 219);\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrinform.ua\/rubric-polytics\/4121986-fedorov-i-pistorius-domovilis-pro-zapusk-programi-brave-germany.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">citing <\/a>Ukrainian media.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/6894cda00e101ee3eff0acef720927cf.webp.webp\"\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Fedorov said at a briefing following the signing that Germany is currently Ukraine\u2019s largest donor in the security sector, providing around one-third of all international military assistance.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He highlighted Berlin\u2019s role in strengthening Ukraine\u2019s air defence capabilities, including the supply of missiles for Patriot systems.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Fedorov noted that Ukraine and Germany have already concluded a major contract financed by the German government, with missile deliveries expected to begin next year.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He also said that cooperation continues under the Ramstein framework, including the provision of IRIS-T air defence systems, ammunition, interceptor drones, as well as funding for strike drones and artillery programs.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to Fedorov, Germany has additionally begun financing projects related to long-range strike capabilities, which Ukrainian officials refer to as \u201clong-range sanctions,\u201d and is also supporting the development of assault drone units.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He added that, with the support of international partners, Ukraine is maintaining the initiative on the battlefield
