The newest LEGO The Lord of the Rings<\/a> set is here, and it is one of the biggest LEGO<\/a> sets ever.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith features 8,278 pieces that come together to recreate the legendary city of Gondor. The set features a hybrid-scale design combining cityscapes with detailed, minifigure-scale interior scenes. When you look at the set from across the room, you will see the White City of Minas Tirith. Up close, you can open up interior spaces, including the throne room of the citadel.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The set comes with 10 minifigures to incorporate into your display, including Gandalf the White, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, four soldiers of Gondor, and Shadowfax the horse.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith will be available for LEGO Insiders starting June 1, before its general release on June 4 at lego.com<\/a> and at The LEGO Store. Fans who buy the set from June 1-7 will get the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings Grond as a gift with purchase. The set features the battering ram used by Sauron\u2019s servants during the Siege of Minas Tirith and two Orc minifigures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On June 1, the LEGO Group will host exclusive launch events for LEGO Insiders at select LEGO Stores to get an early look at the new set and take part in special activities including costume and trivia contests, poster giveaways, and an exclusive build activity. LEGO Insiders members will also have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win an all-inclusive trip to the Hobbiton Movie Set, where\u00a0The Lord of the Rings\u00a0and\u00a0The Hobbit\u00a0movies were filmed, along with the full LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings collection. Fans can enter the sweepstakes from now until June 30 at 11:59 p.m.<\/p>\n

Fans across the pond will also have an opportunity to get their LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings Minas Tirith set signed by Fran\u00e7ois Zapf, the creator of the set, at special events at the LEGO Store Leicester Square in London on June 1 and at the LEGO Store M\u00fcnchen Zentrum in Munich on June 4.<\/p>\n

With this supersized LEGO Minas Tirith set joining your collection soon, you\u2019re going to need a lot more space to indulge your Middle-earth fantasies.<\/p>\n
