{"id":80966,"date":"2026-05-12T20:27:00","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T20:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/80966\/"},"modified":"2026-05-12T20:27:00","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T20:27:00","slug":"global-protests-denounce-iran-internet-blackout-as-activists-back-reza-pahlavi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/80966\/","title":{"rendered":"Global protests denounce Iran internet blackout as activists back Reza Pahlavi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Activists protested across the globe to denounce Iran&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/article-893945\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ongoing internet blackout<\/a>, which has lasted at least 70 days as of Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The anti-regime <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/article-892407\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">protests<\/a> were held as vigils and marches across cities worldwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">At protests, activists waved pre-Islamic Revolution Iranian flags, often used by protesters denouncing the regime.<\/p>\n<p>Activists also held banners praising Crown Prince <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/iran-news\/article-893960\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Reza Pahlavi<\/a>, including calling him &#8220;King of Iran,&#8221; according to footage taken at the scenes.<\/p>\n<p>Several, but not all, protests also included the flying of Israeli flags, according to footage seen by\u00a0The Jerusalem Post.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">One such rally was held opposite the White House in Washington.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Other protest locations included Auckland and Dunedin, New Zealand; Sydney and Melbourne, Australia; Bangkok, Thailand; Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, South Korea; Dublin, Ireland; London, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Newcastle, United Kingdom; Stockholm, Sweden; Oslo, Norway; and Copenhagen and Aarhus, Denmark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Protests were also held in Berlin, Hanover, Hamburg, and Munich, Germany;
