At the BPW Europe General Assembly 2026 held in Munich, the Vilnius Business Women’s Club (VVMK) secured three awards, with one of the most significant honors recognizing its collaboration with the “Moters pinigai” (Woman’s Money) conference.

This recognition highlights Lithuania’s progress in strengthening women’s economic independence. BPW International, an organization uniting approximately 24,000 members worldwide—including over 18,000 in Europe—evaluates the most significant projects from 40 European countries annually. Only three initiatives demonstrating the greatest social impact receive official awards; this year, the Lithuanian financial literacy program was among the top selections.

The Vilnius Business Women’s Club, which operates under the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, presented its activities in Munich. These efforts extend beyond business networking to include targeted education for women. The primary focus at the assembly was on projects that effectively change financial behavior and encourage women to confidently start their own businesses.

Irma Januševičiūtė-Spudienė, head of the VVMK, emphasized that this international acclaim is the result of consistent work. According to Januševičiūtė-Spudienė, membership in international organizations allows Lithuania to share its experiences while building strong partnerships that open new growth opportunities. The connections made in Munich have already led to a collaboration proposal from partners developing a similar initiative in Sweden.

A key factor in the success of the “Moters pinigai” conference is its focus on social responsibility and reaching women who need support most. In cooperation with the Lithuanian Employment Service (Užimtumo tarnyba), the organizers implemented an initiative where 200 invitations to the conference were donated to women registered with the service.

The goal of this initiative is to provide practical tools for women seeking new career opportunities or considering additional income sources. Financial literacy is viewed as the foundation for long-term economic stability and a means to reduce social exclusion. Participation in large-scale events provides these women with not only knowledge but also the self-confidence necessary to take their first steps in business.

Club member Aušra Adiklienė, who attended the BPW International symposium, noted that community and shared experience are powerful tools for empowerment. Discussions with colleagues from across Europe revealed a growing trend: women-led businesses are increasingly focusing on sustainable development and social impact.

The Lithuanian example demonstrates that local initiatives can successfully compete with projects from larger European nations. This confirms that the chosen strategy—investing in education and entrepreneurship for women—is effective and valued internationally. Such achievements strengthen Lithuania’s image as an innovative and socially responsible state.

Future plans include the further development of the “Moters pinigai” conference. The next event, scheduled for March 19, 2027, is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants. Organizers intend to continue their social initiatives and further expand cooperation with state institutions and business partners.

The upcoming conference will analyze current topics in investing, personal finance management, and business creation. The international recognition serves as a commitment to maintaining high content quality, ensuring that every participant gains maximum value for their financial future.

What is the ‘Moters pinigai’ conference?

It is a prominent Lithuanian conference focused on financial literacy and entrepreneurship for women, known internationally as the ‘Woman’s Money’ conference.

Which organization received the awards in Munich?

The Vilnius Business Women’s Club (VVMK), which operates under the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, received three awards.

How does the initiative support unemployed women?

In collaboration with the Lithuanian Employment Service, the organizers provided 200 free tickets to women registered as job seekers to help them gain financial tools and confidence.

                        Irma Januševičiūtė-SpudienėAušra Adiklienė

    Mantas Petrauskas Author 2026-05-12 08:32 • 4 min read …

[93
43154,43158,43155,171,2269,170,43159,43156,43157
post-81189","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-vilnius","tag-bpw-international","tag-employment-service","tag-financial-literacy","tag-lithuania","tag-munich","tag-vilnius","tag-vilnius-business-womens-club","tag-womans-money-conference","tag-womens-entrepreneurship
["GET
