A total of 111 monopiles will be placed: 107 will support wind turbines, while four will serve offshore substations. This phase of work is set to continue until the fourth quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Two companies, EEW and <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/1794161\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Steelwind<\/a>, are supplying the monopiles, while the secondary steel components are being delivered by Baltic Industry Group (Grupa Przemyslowa Baltic) and Smulders. Each monopile measures approximately 100 metres in length, has a diameter exceeding 10 metres, and weighs roughly 1,500 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>The 1.5 GW offshore wind farm will feature 107 Siemens Gamesa 14 MW turbines, with installation handled by Cadeler and <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/4661341\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Fred. Olsen Windcarrier<\/a>. Situated about 40 kilometres off the Polish coast near Ustka, Baltica 2 is expected to reach full operation in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The project secured a 25-year inflation-protected contract for difference with the Polish state in 2021. Orsted and PGE made the final investment decision for the 1.5 GW project in January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t1.
