Official LEGO<\/a> products will reportedly no longer be allowed to be sold or advertised on Temu, Shein, and AliExpress.<\/p>\n

According to LEGO news site Promobricks<\/a>, the LEGO<\/a> Group will no longer allow its products (including both sets and individual minifigures) to be sold on Chinese retailers Temu, Shein, and AliExpress. That also bans any use of promotional materials from the LEGO<\/a> Group, such as images or videos.<\/p>\n

The ban includes both direct and indirect sales, meaning that wholesalers and resellers cannot sell LEGO<\/a> products on the three platforms. Retailers that currently are either selling LEGO products or using official LEGO imagery and promotional materials are reportedly being asked to take down any such listings. It is the responsibility of any wholesalers to ensure that no products along their supply chains are being sold via Temu, Shein, and AliExpress.<\/p>\n

Promobricks reported that the LEGO Group made the decision to uphold the highest quality and safety standards for both consumers and the LEGO brand. This comes at the same time as the European Commission has opened an investigation into Shein<\/a> for the sale of illegal products, including child sexual abuse material, and for the addictive design of its platform.<\/p>\n

While there\u2019s no indication that the decision from the LEGO Group is linked to the Commission\u2019s investigation, all three retailers have come under fire over the years for allegedly selling sub-quality products and\/or selling items made by workers in unsuitable conditions.<\/p>\n
