Slovenia wants another World Cup and is already thinking about the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

The Montenegrin handball team faces a tough challenge in the play-offs for the world championship, but even the “dragons” don’t think it will be easy for them against the “lions”.<\/p>\n

They especially don’t expect that in the first match in Podgorica, which will be played tomorrow (Thursday) at 18 p.m.<\/p>\n

“There will be a hellish atmosphere in the Mora\u010da Hall. I expect a tough and competitive match, in which the little things will decide. The quality is on our side, we are the favorites on paper, but we will have to prove it on the field,” said Uro\u0161 Zorman, the Slovenian coach.<\/p>\n

The clashes between Montenegro and Slovenia come just four months after the anthological duel at the European Championship when 81 goals were scored in Berum (a suburb of Oslo), and Slovenia won 41:40.<\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t mind if the outcome from Oslo was repeated in Podgorica,” Zorman does not hide.<\/p>\n

However…<\/p>\n

“We definitely have a different game coming up in Montenegro. I hope we will be better in defense and more aggressive towards their defenders who gave us around 25 goals from nine meters in January, which is for the annals,” emphasized Zorman.<\/p>\n

In this team, their thoughts go beyond the World Cup.<\/p>\n

“At stake is not only a place in the World Cup next year in Germany, but also the first step towards the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028,” captain Bla\u017e Janc is clear.<\/p>\n

The rematch is scheduled for Sunday, with Montenegro playing in the play-off for third place at the World Cup, Slovenia for 12th.<\/p>\n
