\n<\/p>\n\n During the Rimi Kids\u2019 Day and the Rimi Riga Marathon 2026 on 16 and 17 May, vehicle traffic will be closed at various times in several parts of the city, resulting in changes to public transport services and possible significant delays.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n On Saturday, 16 May, at 11.00 and 11.30, the DPD Mile run will start along the route of K. Valdem\u0101ra iela (starting at the Latvian National Museum of Art), L\u0101\u010dpl\u0113\u0161a iela, Br\u012bv\u012bbas iela, Br\u012bv\u012bbas bulv\u0101ris, finishing at the Freedom Monument.\n<\/p>\n
\n From approx. 10.40, following instructions from the State Police, traffic will be temporarily closed on K. Valdem\u0101ra iela near the Museum of Art, while the rest of the route will be closed from approx. 10.55. Traffic is expected to remain closed until approx. 12.00 and will be gradually restored as the second race concludes.\n<\/p>\n
\n During the traffic closure, the following public transport routes will be temporarily rerouted via detours:\n<\/p>\n
Bus route 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 16, 20, 21, 24, 37, 41, 50, 53;<\/p>\n
Trolleybus route 3, 4, 5 (only the 10.32 trip from the Daugava Stadium), 19, 17, 25, 31, 34.<\/p>\n
\n Traffic will not be rerouted via detours, but the traffic restrictions will also affect bus route 13 and trolleybus routes 5 and 14, as well as tram routes 5, 7, 8, and 11.\n<\/p>\n
\n We encourage both marathon participants and other passengers to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow the real-time location of public transport vehicles on the R\u012bgas satiksme website under the \u201cVehicle schedules\u201d section.\n<\/p>\n
