{"id":82284,"date":"2026-05-14T09:41:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/82284\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T09:41:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:41:11","slug":"first-monopile-installed-at-hornsea-3-offshore-wind-farm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/82284\/","title":{"rendered":"First Monopile Installed at Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first of 197 monopiles has been installed at the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm site, some 120 kilometres off the coast of Norfolk, UK.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"941\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Hornsea-3-monopile-installation-Orsted-video-screenshot-768x941.jpg\" class=\"attachment-medium_large size-medium_large\" alt=\"\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Hornsea 3 monopile installation; Video screenshot \/ \u00d8rsted via LinkedIn<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA team of more than 200 experts from \u00d8rsted and its contractors, Cadeler and Menck, are working closely together to ensure the safe installation of all 197 monopiles within the Hornsea Zone\u201d, \u00d8rsted said via social media. \u201cThe monopiles are the largest we\u2019ve ever used offshore in Europe, and each will support a 15 MW wind turbine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The XXL monopiles, manufactured by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.offshorewind.biz\/2026\/02\/11\/first-hornsea-3-monopiles-arrive-in-uk-from-spain\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Haizea Wind Group<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.offshorewind.biz\/2026\/03\/02\/dajins-new-deck-carrier-transporting-hornsea-3-monopiles-from-china-to-uk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dajin Heavy Industry<\/a>, are being installed by Cadeler\u2019s vessel Wind Ally, with the company\u2019s vessel Wind Orca deployed for secondary structure installation works.
