\u00d8rsted<\/a> is currently recruiting offshore wind turbine technicians across three of its UK operational sites, located at the Port of Grimsby, Liverpool and Barrow. The role is responsible for maintaining and repairing wind turbines whilst contributing to a safety-first culture.<\/p>\n\u00d8rsted is a leading player in the UK\u2019s offshore wind sector in operating and maintaining wind farms. The UK portfolio includes 12 operational offshore wind farms, with Hornsea 3 currently under construction and set to become the world\u2019s single largest offshore wind farm. It has a capacity to deliver 2.9GW of clean energy, powering more than 3.3 million homes, taking \u00d8rsted\u2019s UK total to more than 9 million homes powered and 10% of the UK\u2019s total. <\/p>\n
With more than 1100 employees across the UK, the company emphasises a strong safety culture and maximising wind farm performance. Technicians will operate from one of the company\u2019s state-of-the-art facilities and may work from either a Service Operations Vessel offshore on two-week rotation with some unsociable hours, or on seven-day shifts travelling daily between the site office and nearshore windfarms.<\/p>\n
Candidates require mechanical or electrical experience; wind turbine technician experience is a bonus but not essential. The role is a great way to transfer skills into the growing offshore wind industry. Within cover letters, applicants may indicate a preferred shift pattern.<\/p>\n

The balance really works for me. Travelling to work via vessel and sometimes helicopter is a cool commute. The industry is ever growing and being part of the team means lots of opportunities and it helps that it\u2019s a great lunch time view!\u201d<\/p>\n
