The Old Town Christmas Market in Doma Square will open on Friday, November 29 and will remain open until 2 January 2025. This will be the 24th year that the market will bring people together to celebrate Christmas and enjoy a wide cultural program, the organizers said.<\/p>\n
Doma Square will be the place to see and buy homemade products and crafts, souvenirs, as well as a variety of food and drink from more than 80 traders.<\/p>\n
On Saturday, November 30 , at 17.00, the Riga Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place.\u00a0On December 1, the First Sunday of Advent, Elizabete Gaile will perform at 17.00.<\/p>\n
Latvian craftspeople\u00a0and home producers will be selling wickerwork, wooden products and toys, knitted items, amber and silver jewelry, games, decorations, leather goods, candles, as well as various food and drinks – honey, gingerbread, hemp, meat products, jams, sauces, syrups, hot and cold beverages.<\/p>\n
On December 31 , the New Year’s Eve event will be celebrated with a performance by the group “Ball\u012b\u0161u krustt\u0113vi” at 20:00 and DJ Toms Gr\u0113vi\u0146\u0161 at 22:00, who will invite everyone to dance together until 02:00.<\/p>\n
