At the time, the royal household stated that she was admitted to Rigshospitalet for &#8220;observation as a precaution&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p id=\"eqW1g4ADFtj\" data-wc=\"22\">After being admitted on 8 May, Queen Margrethe returned to Fredensborg Palace on 10 May when she was discharged from the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The Queen&#8217;s busy timetable<\/p>\n<p id=\"eW-eGDhQZrB\" data-wc=\"35\">Queen Margarethe has had a busy royal timetable of late, with her latest royal outing alongside her daughter-in-law, Queen Mary, resulting in the former monarch having to <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/royalty\/896153\/queen-margrethe-firm-warning-queen-mary-revealed-lip-reader\/\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"article-body-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">exchange a stern word<\/a> with the reigning Queen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"egFBKAJzD_A\" data-wc=\"34\">The royal family, also including Mary&#8217;s husband, <a class=\"hm-link he-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/tags\/king-frederik\/\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"article-body-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">King Frederik<\/a>, and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, was seen outside Fredensborg Palace to attend a concert by the Royal Life Guards Music Corps for Margrethe&#8217;s 86th birthday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/154c2a2a7ec9-gettyimages-2271060184.jpg\"   width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The Queen had a firm word with her daughter-in-law\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" class=\"image he-image\" data-flatplan=\"fp_photoCaption\"\/>\u00a9 NurPhoto via Getty ImagesThe Queen had a firm word with her daughter-in-law<\/p>\n<p id=\"egTOchZ2cs9\" data-wc=\"46\">As the music played, Tilia, her little dachshund, walked between the royals, with Mary briefly breaking formation to give her a pat on the head.
