Sweden Aquatics and Malmsten proudly invite you to the 10-year anniversary of Europe\u2019s fastest swim event \u2013 MALMSTEN SWIM OPEN STOCKHOLM<\/a>, 9-12th of April.<\/p>\n

The competition will take place at Eriksdalsbadet in Stockholm, in a 50m, 10-lane pool. This four-day meet offers a full competition program which gives all competitors a good opportunity to prepare for the upcoming European Junior Championship, European Championships in Paris and Youth Olympic Games in Dakar.<\/p>\n

Last year was highlighted by Lukas Martens\u2019 iconic 400m Free World Record<\/a>, becoming the first man to dip under the 3:40 barrier (3:39.96) and taking down fellow German Paul Biedermann\u2019s legendary mark.<\/p>\n

Among the confirmed names so far for this year\u2019s Swim Open are World Champions Siobhan Haughey<\/a>, Arno Kamminga<\/a>, and Danas Rapsys<\/a>. Participants total around 900 swimmers from 25\u201330 countries, with a total of approximately 170 teams.<\/p>\n

Prize money in each event is as follows:<\/p>\n

First place \u20ac 400
\nSecond place \u20ac 200
\nThird place \u20ac 100<\/p>\n

The top three female and male performances (counted on the three best results from World Aquatics table) gets prize money:<\/p>\n

First place \u20ac 4,000
\nSecond place \u20ac 2,000
\nThird place \u20ac 1,000<\/p>\n
