\n\tThrough the collaboration between the Brazilian footwear brand and the Copenhagen<\/a>-based fashion house, Melissa<\/a>\u2019s jelly shoes<\/a> are imbued with bold color, tactile details and a hint of irreverence. The capsule is intended to easily pair with Ganni<\/a>\u2019s high summer collection.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collection features two styles: the\u00a0Melissa\u00a0Thong Kitten Heel, an elevated classic flip-flop, and the\u00a0Melissa\u00a0Flip Flop Slim, a playful and feminine option with a ruffled strap. Colorways include red, yellow, blue, black and leopard print.<\/p>\n

\n\tMelissa director Paulo Ped\u00f3 told FN, \u201cGanni has a very distinctive point of view on dressing \u2014 one that balances attitude with a sense of irreverence. It reflects and reinterprets the Danish everyday in a way that feels both effortless and expressive. In addition, the brand plays an important role in contemporary fashion by offering a more accessible and conscious approach, without compromising on personality.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMany people can remember wearing jelly shoes in their early days, and that goes for Ganni\u2019s creative director Ditte Reffstrup, who told FN, \u201cI\u2019ve always loved jelly shoes. I grew up with them, so there\u2019s something very nostalgic about them, but they\u2019re also playful and expressive. For this collaboration, we brought in the things we always come back to, like frills, leopard print, bold color and our fruit motifs, which have been part of Ganni since the beginning. It\u2019s that mix of something familiar with something a bit unexpected that makes it feel right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for how Ganni\u2019s home base was infused into the collection, Reffstrup explained, \u201cCopenhagen style is very much about dressing for real life. In summer especially, your day doesn\u2019t really have a fixed plan. You might start at work, go for a swim, meet friends, and suddenly it turns into dinner or dancing, so everything has to move with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe creative director continued, \u201cWe wanted the collection to feel like that. Easy to wear, a bit playful, and something you can style in your own way.\u201d<\/p>\n
