As quoted from Detik Finance, the electric automaker announced on May 12 a $250 million investment at its Gigafactory located outside Berlin, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>This financial commitment serves to expand the facility&#8217;s capacity for manufacturing electric vehicle battery cells. With this latest development, Tesla intends to build the necessary infrastructure to scale up annual output to 18 GWh, representing a significant increase from the original 8 GWh target.<\/p>\n<p>The Berlin-Brandenburg facility holds strategic importance as Tesla&#8217;s inaugural manufacturing location within the European continent, having launched its operations in March 2022. During the first quarter, the factory achieved a production milestone by delivering more than 61,000 units.<\/p>\n<p>            &#13;<\/p>\n<p>                            <img src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/KsDoNy73a3.jpeg\" alt=\"Stellantis and Dongfeng Partner to Produce Peugeot and Jeep EVs in China\" width=\"75\" height=\"75\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"low\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                &#13;<\/p>\n<p>The company also plans to increase the assembly volume of its popular Model Y vehicle at the German plant by 20% starting in July 2026.
