The service, which uses Volvo&#8217;s Autona\/freight solution, integrates self-driving technology from partners <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/5688278\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Aurora<\/a> and Waabi into DSV&#8217;s existing logistics network on a depot-to-depot basis.<\/p>\n<p>According to the source, the initial phase will include a safety driver in the vehicle, consistent with Volvo&#8217;s current operational procedures. This setup is intended to allow both companies to gain operational experience before expanding to additional routes.<\/p>\n<p>Helmut Schweighofer, the CEO of DSV Road, stated that the collaboration represents a production-oriented, depot-to-depot configuration, and that the companies see opportunities to enhance safety and driver comfort, address a growing driver shortage, and improve asset utilization through continuous operations.<\/p>\n<p>Sasko Cuklev, head of on-road solutions at Volvo Autonomous Solutions, noted that logistics providers such as DSV are a key customer group for the company, and that DSV is at the forefront of applying autonomous transport in real logistics networks.
