Modern.az reports that \u201cThe New York Times\u201d wrote about this, citing sources in Washington, Copenhagen and Greenland.<\/p>\n
According to the information, Washington is particularly interested in Greenland’s richness in oil, uranium, rare earth metals and other strategic minerals. The US also intends to maintain its military presence on the island indefinitely.<\/p>\n
