Gedaminskas, traffic changes have been introduced in the Kaunas direction from the intersection towards Neveroniai and continue to the Murava intersection.

“It is important to draw the attention of all drivers that if you plan to go to a certain area, it is very important to plan in advance which lane to choose, because in order to ensure smoother throughput and traffic organization, traffic is organized in the so-called 3+1 lane,” said M. Gedaminskas.

“This means that two lanes are maintained in each direction to ensure that communication and transport mobility are as smooth as possible and drivers have less disruption,” he added.

As BNS reported, the road repair work is planned to be completed by October.

The road works will involve milling the existing asphalt pavement and installing new asphalt layers, as well as strengthening the road base and renewing the entire pavement structure in order to improve the durability and performance of the road.

The project will include the repair and installation of roadside curbs, renovation of surface water drainage systems – culverts, gutters and wells. In addition, it is planned to update traffic safety measures and road markings.

This year, it is planned to repair more than 120 kilometers of sections and 24 bridges and viaducts on the Vilnius–Klaipėda and Vilnius–Panevėžys motorways.

BNS wrote that the 2026 state budget includes a total of 815,5 million euros for roads.

Author Evelina Paškovskytė

On the Vilnius–Kaunas– motorwayKlaipedaAs repair work begins on the road section near Kaunas on Monday, drivers should allow…

[93
171,5547,170,46235
post-86398","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-vilnius","tag-lithuania","tag-naujiena","tag-vilnius","tag-vilnius-kaunas
["GET
