A young Odia from Kendrapara proudly represented Odisha during Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s visit to Norway, creating a memorable moment for the Indian diaspora in Oslo.<\/p>\n
Kaustuv Samal, son of Nilima Pradhan and Ratikanta Samal from Ramiaganj in Kendrapara district, was selected by the Embassy of India in Oslo to represent Odisha during PM Modi\u2019s official visit.<\/p>\n
Currently residing in Oslo, Kaustuv shared his excitement about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to personally greet the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
Around 600 members of the Indian community gathered in Oslo to welcome PM Modi during his Norway visit. As part of a special cultural representation initiative, one boy and one girl from each Indian state were chosen to represent their respective states.<\/p>\n
Kaustuv and another Odia participant, Saina, were selected to represent Odisha. Both wore traditional Sambalpuri attire showcasing the state\u2019s rich cultural heritage. Kaustuv wore a Sambalpuri kurta, while Saina appeared in a traditional Sambalpuri saree.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the experience, Kaustuv said the moment became even more special when they greeted PM Modi with \u201cNamaskar, Jai Jagannath\u201d instead of the usual greeting.<\/p>\n
\u201cHaving the opportunity to meet and greet Modi ji in person was truly an unforgettable experience and a feeling beyond words,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The heartfelt Odia greeting and traditional attire drew attention during the event and became a proud cultural moment for Odisha on an international stage.<\/p>\n
