Clarke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>COPENHAGEN\/HOUSTON, TEXAS-\u00a0 David Wayne Clarke, 71, formerly of Copenhagen, passed away on March 12, 2026 in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 12, 2026 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc.\u00a0 We are thankful that this service will be led by his cousin, Pastor Earl LaLone.\u00a0 Family and friends are welcome to greet the family from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral, at the funeral home.\u00a0 Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Copenhagen.<\/p>\n<p>David is survived by his daughter, Amber Clarke; his four grandchildren, Adrian, Anastacio III, Azriel, and Arianny; his siblings, Debbie Clarke Cato (George) of North Carolina, Dianne Clarke Weaver (Gary) of Gouverneur; Brenda Clarke Shelmidine (Warren) of Lorraine; Dale Clarke (Helen) of Copenhagen; and Kenneth Clarke )Brenda Bakker) of Tennessee; nieces and nephews, Sarah Haley, Marcus Shelmidine, Ryan Devendorf, Christopher Weaver, Kyle Clarke, Morgan Clarke; Kimberly Clarke, James Clarke Jr., Chris Clarke, Nichole Covell, Phillip Clarke, Travis Clarke, Matthew D\u2019Accursio; Michael D\u2019Accursio; great nieces and nephews, Zoey Clarke, Eloise Haley, Sutton Shelmidine, Grayson Covell, and Liam Clarke.\u00a0 David was welcomed into heaven by his parents, Terry and Jean Clarke, and his brothers, Jimmy and Bruce Clarke.<\/p>\n<p>David was born on December 1, 1954 in Watertown, NY, a son of the late Terry and Jean Georginia Bestor Clarke.\u00a0 He graduated from Copenhagen Central School and served in the US Navy for one year.\u00a0 Most recently, he worked for Accent Delivery Services in Houston Texas.\u00a0 David was a quiet and humble soul who preferred to stay out of the spotlight.\u00a0 He was a dedicated hardworking man who deeply loved his family and valued simple, private life.\u00a0 He loved the Lord deeply, hoping others would come to know that same faith.\u00a0 He is now at peace I heaven, comforted by the promise:\u00a0 \u201cThe Lord is my shepard; I shall not want.\u00a0 He restoreth my soul\u2026Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe give thanks to the Lord for the blessing of family-a bond that distance cannot break and time cannot diminish.\u00a0 Wherever we may be, and regardless of how often we see or speak to one another, we are forever connected in love.\u00a0 May we carry that love with us always.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He Attended The Met Church in Houston, TX.<\/p>\n<p>David enjoyed volunteering at his church.\u00a0 He had a passion for running and took pride in caring for his lawn.\u00a0 Most of all, he cherished time with his daughter and grandchildren.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Condolences may be made online at www.isenekerfuneralhome.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n                        To <a style=\"color:red\" class=\"send-flower-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.isenekerfuneralhome.com\/obituary\/David-Clarke\/sympathy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">send flowers<\/a><br \/>\n                        to the family, please <a style=\"color:rgb(255, 90, 95)\" class=\"visit-flower-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.isenekerfuneralhome.com\/obituary\/David-Clarke\/sympathy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">visit our floral store.<\/a>\n                    <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"COPENHAGEN\/HOUSTON, TEXAS-\u00a0 David Wayne Clarke, 71, formerly of Copenhagen, passed away on March 12, 2026 in Texas.
