Kempower \u2013 a global frontrunner in DC (direct current) fast-charging solutions \u2013 and APM Terminals \u2013 operating resilient and efficient container terminals in 35 countries around the world and part of A. P. Moller-Maersk \u2013 have signed a three-year framework agreement for the supply of Kempower\u2019s DC fast-charging technology across APM Terminals\u2019 network. The agreement supports APM Terminals\u2019 roadmap to decarbonise operations via the use of battery-electric container handling equipment and use of renewable energy.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Kempower signing\" style=\"height: 328px; width: 500px; margin-bottom: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/260520-Kempower-signing.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nMathias Wiklund, Chief Sales Officer at Kempower, and Ciro Caputo, Head of Equipment &amp; Automation Procurement at APM Terminals sign the agreement at TOC Europe    <\/p>\n<p>\nUnder the agreement, Kempower\u2019s high-power charging infrastructure will be installed in various terminals across APM Terminals\u2019 global network during the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe first three pilot projects have already been started in APM Terminals Yucat\u00e1n in Mexico, TM2 in Morocco, and Callao in Peru, to accommodate the first electric vehicles in the terminals.<\/p>\n<p>\n\u201cWe are honoured to be part of APM Terminal\u2019s electrification roadmap and support them with their net zero targets. Kempower\u2019s robust and reliable charging technology will support APM Terminals to keep their electric fleet on the move and optimise the operations,\u201d said Kempower\u2019s Chief Sales Officer Mathias Wiklund.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElectrification is central to our pathway towards net zero by 2040, particularly as we transition diesel powered terminal equipment to electric alternatives. Through this Global Frame Agreement, Kempower becomes a key partner in enabling a consistent and scalable charging infrastructure, supporting both our decarbonisation objectives and future ready charging solution that supports sustainable operations across our terminals,\u201d said Grant Morrison, Global Head of Asset Category Management, APM Terminals.<\/p>\n<p>The three-year frame agreement between Kempower and APM Terminals does not include binding order volumes. APM Terminals will place individual orders with Kempower according to their own investment plans and needs.
