\nWhile
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a>‘s early
\nPFL Brussels<\/a> weigh-ins proved relatively uneventful, the
\nceremonials had a bit of a brouhaha.<\/p>\n

Headlining the Belgian event is a welterweight fight between mixed
\nmartial arts legend Benson
\nHenderson<\/a> and undefeated rising star Patrick
\nHabirora<\/a>. Both men had no issue making weight for the
\nfive-round main event. There was also one late adjustment to the
\ncard as Movsar
\nIbragimov<\/a> will no longer face Youssouf
\nBinate<\/a> at bantamweight and will now take on Shane
\nCampbell<\/a> in a 140-pound catchweight fight.<\/p>\n

During the ceremonial weigh-ins, Khamzat
\nAbaev<\/a> and Luca Poclit<\/a>
\nsquared off despite bad blood practically boiling over between the
\ntwo. Earlier in the week during the faceoffs, the welterweights
\nnearly engaged in fisticuffs. This time, former
\nfighter-turned-executive Dan Hardy<\/a>
\ncould not contain the two men, whose teams proceeded to clear the
\nproverbial benches and throw hands all across the stage. The status
\nof the bout is currently unclear.<\/p>\n

Henderson (30-12) enters his latest fight at the tender age of 42.
\nThe former Bellator MMA, Ultimate Fighting Championship and World
\nExtreme Cagefighting titleholder hasn’t fought since his 2023
\ndefeat to Usman
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>. Prior to the setback, “Smooth” had shown he was
\nstill dangerous with wins over Peter
\nQueally<\/a> and Islam
\nMamedov<\/a>. The MMA Lab product weighed 171 pounds on the dot for
\nhis first PFL fight.<\/p>\n

An elite and
\nundefeated welterweight prospect headlines PFL Brussels against a
\nformer UFC champ: Tune in Saturday, May 23 at 4 p.m. ET on
\nESPN2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The entire pro career of Habirora (8-0) has occurred since
\nHenderson last fought. The 25-year-old is coming off a trio of PFL
\nEurope wins, including a brutal knockout over Kevin
\nJousset<\/a>. Seven of his eight victories have come from violent
\nfinishes, so “The Belgian Bomber” has definitely lived up to his
\nnickname. Habirora weighed 170.9 for the biggest fight of his
\ncareer.<\/p>\n

PFL Brussels will air live on ESPN+ on Saturday. The main card
\nstarts at 3 p.m. ET\/noon PT, while the early card starts at 12:30
\np.m. ET\/9:30 a.m. PT.<\/p>\n
