The developer stated via social media that commissioning and grid integration work continues to ensure seamless operation of the complex systems.<\/p>\n<p>According to the source, offshoreWIND.biz, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indexbox.io\/store\/taiwan--chinese-\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">all 42 wind turbines<\/a> at the project&#8217;s second phase\u2014the 583 MW Greater Changhua 4\u2014are connected to Taipower&#8217;s grid and generating electricity. The Greater Changhua 2b and 4 complex, located 35 to 60 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County, comprises 66 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 wind turbines. It is the first offshore wind farm globally to install 14 MW turbines with blades measuring 115 meters in length.<\/p>\n<p>Offshore construction began in February 2025. The first turbine was installed at Greater Changhua 2b in April of last year, shortly after the first suction bucket jacket foundation was placed by <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/5684614\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Cadeler<\/a>&#8216;s vessel Wind Maker. First power was generated in July 2025, and the 66th and final turbine was installed in January of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Once fully operational\u2014expected in the third quarter of 2026\u2014Greater Changhua 2b and 4 will supply renewable electricity to <a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/companies\/profile\/2221323\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/app.indexbox.io\/indicators\/symbol\/taiwan-semiconductor-manufacturing-company-limited\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">TSMC<\/a>) under a corporate power purchase agreement signed in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t1.
